Our main products are wire harness clamps and exterior/interior clips for automobiles. Our clamps boast the top market share in Japan and are used by major Japanese automobile manufacturers such as Toyota Motor Corporation. Although small, components produced by us are used in countless locations in automobiles. For example, approximately 200 of our components can be found in a single Prius automobile.
From the standpoint of automobile manufacturers, use of large numbers of small components means that our products are consuming their work time. By developing components that realize high work efficiency, we can achieve major reductions in work time, leading ultimately to cost reductions.
We are constantly confronted with such advanced needs from automotive manufacturer and have spent a great many years meeting such requirements. Thanks to the know-how we have accumulated during this process, we can now boast the top share as a specialized manufacturer of clamps and clips. We will continue, in future, to further enhance our design and development prowess and refine our skills as a specialized manufacturer.
Let us introduce an example of our development proposals.
A manufacturer approached us with a request to resolve insertion difficulties due to the component’s rubber insertion part. To solve this problem, we changed the insertion part material to resin, resulting in remarkable improvement in insertion. This improved workability at the manufacturer concerned and enabled cost reductions. This is one example that illustrates improvements we make to automotive components on a daily basis.
Because, in the process of realizing products, we are also faced with demanding quality and environmental requirements, Daiwa Kasei has acquired international standard ISO accreditation, and this has helped to enhance our international reliability as we continually strive to improve quality and environmental undertakings.
